Welcome to THE COMMUNITY SCHOOL IN NUTLEY where children have the opportuntiy and space to grow intellectually, socially and academically. We reaize the importance of the "early learning" years and our staff is educated and experienced in the field of Early Childhood. We are licensed by the State of New Jersey and our curriculum is developmentally appropriate in accordance with the needs of young children. We enroll children from ages 3 months to six years old and offer flexible hours to accommodate your busy schedule.

At the Community School we have been dedicated to providing the highest quality childcare and education for young children since 1967! We teach children the skills they need to be successful in elementary school and throughout their lives.
Our comprehensive curriculum provides endless experiences in art, language, music, social studies, math and social learning. Motor skills and all five senses are fully engaged during play time in our spacious gym and large indoor and outdoor play areas. Our enrichment programs include Music and Movement with Miss Judy,
Yoga with Miss Deb and Musical Instruments (Keyboard, Guitar etc) with Miss Christa.
At the Community School, the Teachers love their work with children. Since our focus is on the needs of our students, we all feel good about our program and the way we approach each child's desire to learn about the world. We nurture as we teach; we guide as we encourage individuality and we support children as they make their way in the world.
